Andy Hazelton ’05

Andy’s connection with Japan began when he joined Nikon Research Corporation of America in 1996. With the support of the Blakemore Foundation, Andy moved to Yokohama in 2004 and attended the Inter-University Center from 2004 to 2005. He then returned to work in the Nikon Corporation headquarters in Tokyo, where he was responsible for technical marketing of semiconductor equipment. He returned to the US in 2010. He began working as Sr. Manager, Vision Engineering, at Intuitive Surgical in 2016, where he manages a design engineering team developing novel robotic surgery platforms. Andy has served on the IUC Leadership Board since 2014 as one of its founding members.
